Cradle to Career welcomes Dr. Kevin McDonald and Dr. Adrian Clifton to our board!

Kevin McDonald is the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for the University of Missouri System, and the Vice Chancellor for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity for the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a diversity and inclusion professional, Dr. McDonald has developed a significant track record of transformational contributions toward organizational equity, diversity, and inclusion goals. From access and success, to education and scholarship and institutional infrastructures, Dr. McDonald has worked collaboratively to create initiatives that positively impact policies, practices, processes, and people.

In his positions at the University of Missouri-Columbia and University of Missouri System, Dr. McDonald provides collaborative leadership to the institutional pluralistic efforts through the promotion of inclusive excellence and the conceptualization, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at the recruitment, engagement and success of university community members.

Adrian Clifton is the co-founder and President of Worley Street Roundtable, a group of concerned students and community members who have partnered with Columbia Public Schools to thread together students, families, universities and outside organizations to create viable ways to help marginalized children succeed academically, socially and spiritually.

Dr. Clifton also serves as a postdoctoral fellow within the University of Missouri’s College of Education with research focusing on the social capital attained in community-based learning spaces, in particular, in the public housing projects.
